$200 Cat Box
Oh My!
I know you guys love me… but who sent me this $200 cat box that cleans itself!!!! I am in shock and awe! I haven’t even set it up yet, I am that shocked. Maybe I’m a little scared of it. I mean, how does this thing work!?? It’s crazy! Does this mean I will never have to clean a cat box again?
There was no note or return address… just two big whopping boxes including every kind of cat litter contraption you can think of, even a cat welcome mat so Pounce can keep his dainty paws clean! It is the coolest thing ever. It’s even battery operated so I don’t have to run an extension cord to it–which is good since I do not have a plug in the designated cat box area.
But what is really boggling me is that it just showed up on my doorstep yesterday! I’ve called everyone I can think of who would do something like this and nobody has a clue. Or somebody’s not talking. Was it a blog reader? Family? I do not know.
I don’t even know how to begin to thank whoever sent this.
I’m without words.

The All Consuming Scrapbook!
Now that I’m home and I don’t have to work all day, I’m buckling down and getting some really important things done. Ha! Like putting together a baby scrapbook! I am having so much fun, it’s probably wrong. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this myself! I don’t need to buy a baby book, I can make my own! Somebody said that in the comments or maybe it was my sister-in-law. I don’t know, but you are brilliant. My happy little brain thanks you from the bottom of my happy heart. And the baby thanks you too because she is kicking away as usual. (Man is she kicking. Sometimes it feels like I have a funny bone in my belly because she knocks some kind of nerve in there and hiieeeeyaaaaaa! she suddenly has all of my attention. )
Anyway, this scrapbook is making me so happy it’s silly. I spent almost all of yesterday putting it together and I still have a lot more to go before I’m up to the present. Thanks to my blog, I have a pretty good daily record of big events. I’m including my illustrations too as well as belly shots and pretty cards that people have given me. I’m writing it in the first person to my daughter. I hope she likes it. Toby almost got teary eyed when he saw what I was doing. He never had anything like this from when he was little because well… it’s a long story. But let’s just say his mom lost a lot of things over the years. So it’s coming together nicely and every day when I get home from baby sitting it’s all I can do to force myself to take a shower and get my chores done first, before I start working away. I love it when a project consumes me like this.
