“Just Wear It” 2nd Edition By Bug
Here I am at the pool. I like geraniums. They are a fashion statement. I’m trying to say they are very pretty and I like the pool. You should all rush out and wear geraniums in your hair. The pool is so turquoise. It reminds me of Hawaii and the geraniums are like orchids or hibiscus. This swimsuit has a hibiscus on the bottoms. It’s actually a hand-me-down. The top is from my cousin and the bottoms are from the kids my mom babysits. Hey, fashion is where you find it.
This is not really an outfit. I just wanted to take a picture of my curly hair. This is as curly as it gets. We went to a salon and it’s not like every day I do that. Because my hair is stick straight and it won’t curl. It just falls out!
I like this shirt because it falls off my shoulders and the shorts just went good with it. So, you know the shoes are like an everyday thing. Nothing new to see there.
I got this new shrug and I think it’s really cute. And I also got some new shorts and shoes. They are pretty cute. But the shoes are too big and they fall off my feet when I run so I can’t wear them to school.
This is a picture of me in my pajamas after I got out of the shower. So nothing to see here either. But my shoes are cool. They are espadrilles from Payless.
I cut my leggings to make shorts and then I saved the extra leg pieces to make sleeves. Now they match. I wore this outfit to gymnastics.
I was going to the pool and I wanted a skirt so I took my scarf from Catalina and made it into a skirt. I put my shrug on to make it look like a shirt.
Last time I was with my Grandma I went to the Scottish Fair and I got this cool Scottish Loop (it’s in my hair). It’s a metal curl that you can weave your hair through. It doesn’t even fall out! I wear this purse almost every time I need a purse. It’s my mom’s from a shop called Bloom Woosie. I think she got it when I was a baby for carrying diapers but I use it all the time because it’s fashionable. This is my running errands outfit. You can tell it’s not a school day because I’m wearing flip flops. They came from Old Navy.
I’m walking home from school in this picture and I saw this pretty bush with moss underneath it so I had to take a picture of it. I like to pretend I’m a cat.
I’ll see you next week for another blog post!

My oldest daughter’s hair is stick straight and doesn’t hold curl either. But you have beautiful hair. And my other daughter and I both have those flag shoes. You have a great sense of fashion :)

This blog is way better than any other fashion blog I’ve ever read. You have a unique perspective, Fashionista Bug. And I love reading about where you got the clothes, and what you were thinking in each picture or while you were putting the outfit together. Keep up the great work!

Bug, you really have a sense of style and design! I bet you could be a stylist or a clothing designer some day!!

Love Bug’s fashion! My daughter also has stick straight hair that even the hairdressers can’t keep curled. I’ve found the solution! I let her sleep in straws tied in her hair. The hair stays curled for at least 2 days. I can email pictures if you want to see how.
