The Angry Birds Craze Continues
This is my friend Carrien’s oldest son’s idea. He had played the game briefly on his dad’s phone and then no longer had access to it so he invented his own version (with his sisters and little brother) with bean bags, boxes and a sling shot. I thought it was brilliant and with his permission, recreated his game in my backyard for Alpha+Mom. We had a blast.
He even drew me a diagram which was a little loftier than I had in mind but we sewed up some bean bags and set it all up.
Here he is setting up the pig’s lair.
And then we blasted it to pieces.
It was so much fun.
I’m thinking I might just have to throw an Angry Birds Theme party someday with this playing in the background. There are so many great ideas out there.

Very clever idea! My kiddo is running around looking for boxes to stack now as I type. The video is hilarious and some of those pintrest pics had me cracking up too. I especially liked the muppet origins of Angry Birds.

Brilliant! Nevermind the kids my husband Julian is going to love this idea. They have a system in his office that the tech team ‘chastise’ each other when they do something daftby throwing Angry Bird soft toys at each other. I can image he’s going to set up Angry Birds assault courses in the office once he reads this post. (The other week he rigged up a blue light that goes off with a klaxon when they discover a bug in the code :)

Such a great idea – I love the Pinterest link too. Ohh, I wish my imagination went (as easily) wild as this.

I wish I had seen this before August when my 4 year old had his angry birds birthday party. Here is the link to show the picture of what we did https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150344752090129.394746.528550128&type=1&l=6b1c2b9917. A real live angry birds castle would have been a great idea.
