We’re leaving for our annual trip up to the lake in about four hours. Hello 5am. Wish me luck. It’s gonna be a long hard drive straight through. No fancy halfway-there hotels for us this time. And then I’ll be without wifi and cell signal for a week and a half. Eeeek! It’s always scary thinking about the prospect of being truly bored.

It’s good for us though. We’ll catch some fish, eat some steak (that I didn’t have to cook—woot!), drink some wine, roast some marshmallows and throw about a thousand rocks into the lake. Good times.
