Hey! Thanks for the mention. You’ve created an amusing spike on my site’s stats page.
Re: the egg method, the bowl was a better vessel for getting swirls than the paper plates were, since you could dip the egg right through the surface where the oil slicks were and into the food colouring without too much handling. (Of course all of G’s eggs suffered from too much handling anyway.) I just used paper plates because I felt as though we had enough variables to this situation without adding more breakables. :D
