little vase frame
Something small and sweet. This would be a nice place to put all those little flowers we collect on our walks. Now if I could just figure out how to cut a vase in half and make it waterproof I could make this myself (and save some $$$!!) Maybe a regular old mustard jar on my window sill is not so bad. I bet if you used a ceramic tile and calking it would work…then again, you still have to figure out how to cut that darn vase in half…I don’t have that answer.

I wonder if you could take a glass vase to a glass store and have them cut it in half for you, then use silicone sealer to put it on a backing. Or ask Deb! I bet Deb would have some ideas. :-)

Holy cow! $95!? No wonder you’re trying to figure out a way to make it yourself. :-)

Perhaps you could cut the mat (or cardboard or whatever is behind the vase) to fit the vase and poke the vase half way through. Caulk or hot glue it in place from the back side… Perhaps???
SAJ says: I thought of that (and I think that might be what they did) but I really like the idea of it hanging on the wall like a picture. I don’t think it would stay flush unless it was a really thick frame…which is another idea…

Have any new ideas crossed your mind?? While looking for flat backed vases I came across a cute tea cup hook vase at uncommongoods.
