Feminine Needs packaging that I actually like?!! I know not everyone is going to agree with me on this one because this was designed by a man and the color choices might be considered masculine but I really like this. I’ve always had a thing for matching my cycles up with the moon.

I like blue, I like moons. I don’t get it though. It seems to indicate different parts of the contents should go with different phases of the moon? TMI, I suppose, but my needs for such products don’t cover nearly so much of the lunar cycle as implied by the boxes. I can think of something else the moons might mean but I’m feeling all silly overanalyzing a tampon box. Here’s an LOL to go with my TMI. :D
To go further, I don’t carry such things around in their original packaging so I’m not at all fazed by garish pink with flowers and swirls. I suspect I simply have the wrong background (i.e. I am not a designer by training, trade, or talent) to appreciate these properly.

My husband thinks I’m being negative so I should point out that I don’t mean it that way. The different phases of the moon on a tampon box designed by a man just struck me so funny I’ve been giggling about it for 20 minutes. I’m sure he understands the product and it makes sense and I just don’t get it because I’m being obtuse, but the /idea/ of him imagining one kind of tampon for the new moon and different ones going all the way through to the full moon is so appealing I can’t let go. I just worked late and I’m in the silly zone.
Stepping back, I have to agree that the boxes are nicer than the loud boxes on the shelves. Going through the grocery store with a one-year-old, you start to notice just how hard all the boxes compete to be attention-grabbing. She’s busy pointing the whole time, in seemingly random directions!
