Washbucket Wading
It’s been so awfully hot here. I left Bug’s mini blow-up wading pool at my mom’s accidentally so yesterday in a fit of desperation I found this old wash tub that I keep around for keeping drinks cold at parties and filled it with cold hose water for her. It was small but I admit it was delightful when I stood in it for about five minutes. It’s amazing how cooling down one part of your body can make the rest of you feel so much better.
Especially if that part is your booo-tay!

Your last three blog posts have not shown up in my feedreader. I wonder if I need to resubscribe since you messed with the feed! Maybe you should let people know that. I’ll try signing up again and let you know if it works.

Yep, I clicked the “subscribe in a reader” link in the left sidebar and now it works. Maybe you should twitter about the fact that your feed got messed up and folks have to re-subscribe?

So much fun!!!!… it’s always hot here… I keep praying for a cold day but we might just die if we ever have one so I guess I have to learn to live with it. E-P (my daughter) loves her old green bucket too :) I’m glad to hear you guys are having fun…

Sweet. I can’t imagine it being hot enough to sit in a bucket of cold hose water, but Bug looks thrilled. Or shocked…
I think we need to move somewhere warmer.

It’s unbearably hot here right now as well, but luckily we have a pool behind our building. It’s a lifesaver! The only thing that would make it better would be a little bit of shade …

That looks like fun. We too are having a hot September.

We used to do this when we were kids. :)

I would love a mini wading pool. Bug’s mini wading pool looks nice but my booo-tay would probably get stuck in there.
Oh and I subscribed to your new feed but your old feed picked up too after a day or so. So, I don’t know…

I do like Bug’s expression in the first photos :)
This post reminds me of the little old paddling pool I had on a flat roof of the post-student house I shared with friends. It was bought for a party to chill beer’s in, but I later snaffled it for a water feature in the puny roof top garden I was trying to grow . I used to stand there as well in the hot, city, summer soaking my ankles thinking of the sea.
