A tea party is always special. I remember Sorority Rush days when we went all out for fancy tinted cream cheese and jelly on raisin bread and egg salad with olive sandwiches and little cakes. There was a plate of colored mint patties and a crystal bowl of mixed nuts.We served wonderful steaming black tea from silver pots with sugar cubes and either cream or lemon. Of course we used teacups, not throw away foam. We pulled the draperies closed so the candles gently lighted the room and hid the cracks in our walls. We’ll have to have a tea party the next time you come out to the sticks. O.K?
