BIG news

Onesies and calendars and movies, oh my!

cutest box

Today is your lucky day! I have stuff to give away! First up is an adorable onesie from the very kind folks at Miminko Apparel. They bought an ad on my site and then sent this super-cute chocolate-brown onesie to me to give away to one of my readers. Smart marketers, those Miminko people.

Cute lamas! I mean alpacas!

It’s made with 100% certified-organic cotton and it has alpacas on it! Do you know what an alpaca is? I didn’t. It’s sort of like a llama but not. The onesie is size 12-18 months which is NOT Bug’s size or else I might have been tempted to keep it. I am tempted to keep the box though and be cheap and mail out the onesie in a soft envelope. The box is so cool. You should enter to win this contest for the box alone. I’m all about packaging.

So if you’d like to win this onesie just leave me a comment saying so and I will fairly pick somebody as a winner and then send it out to you. (I’ll probably call on my good friend Bethany to pick the winner because she’s very fair and orderly about such things, unlike me. I would probably pick whoever left the funniest comment. That isn’t very fair because I know it’s nearly impossible to be funny under pressure.

CONTEST ENDS SATURDAY AT 7AM.

November Calendar

Next up: Calendars! Download your FREE November pdf here and your FREE December pdf here. I might make a better December calendar later. I’ve been recycling my banner art to make the calendars and I haven’t made my December banner yet so I just threw something else on there. I wasn’t going to put up a December calendar but I figure the holidays are so crazy you’re probably going to need December already. I know I do. Those little boxes are filling up fast.

December Calendar

Regarding those little boxes. I know they are not super big. I wish they were bigger but I can’t fit them and my illos on there if I make them any bigger. So we compromise. I recommend getting a super super fine pen. This one is my favorite. Make sure you get the .28. It’s super super fine and most excellent in quality.

There you go! Happy Free Stuff Day!

Oh! I almost forgot. I also have a new movie for the Bug fans. There’s a joke at the end that I think is hilarious. But you’ll have to click through to vimeo to get my explanation.

  • anne

Alpaca me! Err, I mean, pick me! Pick me! we actually have alpaca’s in the zoo down the street.

My girlie would love a chocolate onesie. She’s probably think it really WAS chocolate and try to eat it. But that’s ok too. Love it, love it.

  • Carrie

Oh my, that onesie is adorable and just Miss Leyba’s size! Keeping my fingers crossed!

LOVE the calenders! I am SO excited! Let’s all pretend to spend December in France, shall we?!

    xoxo

I’m going to vote that you decide totally UNfairly to send the onesie for my new baby Cora. While she may only be 6 weeks old, she’s already in 3-6 month size, thanks to her hearty appetite for booby-milk and her bulky cloth diapers. At this rate, she’ll be in that size by, oh, January :-)

In case you need convincing on the cuteness, here is a pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50707216@N00/2992634625/in/set-72157607706008926/

And… if you choose me, you can keep the box. How’s that for a deal?

Off to watch the Bug video!

789, we love this joke and just revisited it here too. i sadly have no one who can gift the (or keep for myself) 12-18mo onsie. (who am i kidding my petite 22mo would so still fit in it…but you can pick another winner i just wanted to comment on Bug. first time i heard her. :))

    Seven ate nine…..hahahahahahaha.

Don’t enter me in the contest. My kids wear adult size small. We’ve even passed the kids size 12’s.

    Off to cross country practice.

When I get home I’ll put sizes on all the hats.

  • Katie

I realize many people want to win this for their daughters, granddaughters, etc. but I think my baby boy would be SO CUTE in the alpaca brown onesie. I probably won’t get chosen though because I want the box more than the onesie too… ever been to the Container Store? Yes, yes. I love boxes.

  • Amber D.

I would love to win this! I know what alpacas are. We have someone in our town with them. They are supposed to be friendlier than llamas. Thanks for the chance!

  • Leta

I’m a sucker for great packaging. Those darn marketers get me every time! My baby girl does look awfully cute in brown! Oh, and thanks for the calendars. They’re great!

  • Gayle

I had to comment, but don’t enter me in the contest. I don’t have or know any babies right now! I wanted to say thank you for the recommendation of the super fine pens. My 12 y.o. daughter is a budding artist and these look like a great Christmas present! And, the calendar PDF’s are so cute!

  • Ashley

That onsie is absolutely adorable! We would love to enter a chance to win that for the little Rosebud who’s due to arrive far too late in January if you ask me…

As for Baby bug cute as always, my Bethany is a big “fan” of both her and Annalie – a day is not complete until she has seen a video of either one or both of them. Who knew that they’d be famous already!

  • Sally

My niece would look adorable in that onesie. And I love the calendar! I’m going to make my husband use the printer at work (shh) to print them for me!

  • Jinxy

That is a super cute onesie. I”m having a little girl in January and can always use more onesies.

    I love the calendars too.

  • Allison

Alpaca’s aren’t the ones that spit at you are they?, because if they are Lucy Lu, my little one, should have that onesie as she spits at everyone!!!! Projectile. Maybe I just deserve it for all the spit I clean up, but then I think it might be Llamas that spit. Oh, well. Cute onesie, though!

  • Heather

Awwww I love the onesie!! Pick me Bethany!! Pick me Pick me!! Hehehehe I love Alpaca’s! And my friends would love it for her little girl!!

  • Abby

Baby B says alpacas are his favorite animal, and that he might be an alpaca for Halloween next year because he loves alpacas so much. Alpaca will probably be his first word he loves saying it so much. Oh, wait, that’s his mommy. Alpaca, alpaca, alpaca!!! Sign us up for the chance to win – despite the heart, I find it to be a very gender neutral item :)

Thank you for the calendar downloads.
I would be pretty happy to win the onesie for the new baby on the way. Boy or girl it would look adorable.

  • Becca

Thanks for sharing your talents with us. I love the calendars! And thanks to you and Miminko for the cute giveaway!

  • alfredsmom

ooh ohhh oohhh! I once was in a shop selling Alpaca fur rugs. They said it didnt hurt the Alpacas to farm their hair, and I chose to believe them. Although, I couldnt afford any Alpaca rugs anyway.

Please enter me! I have a large 7 month old that would fill that 12-18 month onesie!

  • ioi

Emma is 13 months now… and she’s still wearing 9-12 mo stuff, so she’d be a good candidate. There’d even be room to grow!

  • Trisha Y.

You are so so right about the box. I also love packaging. I’d love to give the onesie’s to my besties little girl and keep the box for me!!

  • jadekitty

The video is adorable, I love how she is trying to talk directly to you around the camera :)

I would love the onesie for my niece who just turned one.
(I would even let you keep the box :)

Mmm well I’ve just had a brand new baby nephew in New York… but I had the best news last night, my friend who I have known since art college, (who’s girl band I used to avidly support… even in the days they couldn’t play their instraments) who for the past seven has really wanted a baby more than anything, gave me the glad news that finally she’s going to get her wish.

I don’t mind so much if I don’t get the onsie, although it is lovely, I just wanted to share good news :)

  • Juniper Alita

Hi SAJ, I have twin 8 month old girls who would love to go halvies in a cute little onsie. The good news is that our house is choc-full of baby stuff so I have no room for boxes and you would get to keep the box for sure. Also my poor baby girls only have hand-me-down clothes so far. Its very very desperately sad honest. And they would cry for days if they missed their one opertunity to own something new.

I once dated a man whose family raised alpacas for their fur (wool?). It’s warm like sheep’s wool, but not itchy. And I guess a pregnant female alpaca could pay for a kid’s college education (well, if your kid goes to a state school). But anyway, because of all of this, I’ve met a real, live alpaca! They spit. Kind of like babies, I guess.

  • Karen

Love the onesie and the calendar downloads! You’re awesome! My little nephew would be even more adorable in that onesie too!
