Spring Break at Auntie’s House!
My niece, Rapunzel, is visiting us for her Spring Break. It’s part of an experiment to see if she can be a help around the house (and not bother Uncle Toby too much while he works in his at-home office) and have fun at the same time. The deal is, she can stay as long as we can stand her. But we love her so I’m hoping and crossing my fingers that she can stay all the way until Friday. We’ve got a whole week’s worth of fun adventures planned.
So far we’ve successfully gotten through an evening walk to the beach, an egg hunt and dinner without any trouble. This morning we made pancakes and after breakfast she painted outside on the porch. I think we are off to an excellent start.

Looks like lots of fun! Nieces are great, aren’t they?

Oh I hope it all works out and ends up being a lot of fun.
I won’t dare show J your photo of baby bug painting. I have yet to pull out the paint at home, I fear the mess and the fact that he will want to paint every single day.

Have fun with Rapunzel. I hope she is a big help and gets to stay until Friday!
She’s so lucky to have such a cool auntie.

Wow! Rapunzel has turned into such a beautiful young girl! She’s always been so cute, but she’s starting to look so grown-up. I’ve been reading this blog a long time, I guess…

I love the two handed painting style. The spiral book is great, because you can keep the paintings in one place. Unless she takes out the pages to show you! Otherwise you have all these valuable scraps of paper you can’t keep control of.
Have a fun week. Do you have a pool close by? That’s what we did for spring break.

Will you be my auntie?
I need an auntie that takes me to the beach, feeds me pancakes and lets me paint in the kitchen.
It sounds like you’re having a blast.
Wish I lived closer and I’d bring my Goldilocks over to play with Rapunzel.
