paper or plastic?
Which one looks cooler? I can’t make up my mind. Toby says to do both but that seems like overkill to me (as if overkill is an issue). I like the plastic because you can see the gumballs better but the paper is so cute.
These are just prototypes… I’m still working on whether to cut out the ears or not and I’ll print them on better paper so you don’t see the floppy white from the back. They’ve also been mangled by a slobbery curious baby. I might glue gun a paper tail on the back too… not sure.
What do you think internet? It is National Delurking Week afterall!

Both very cute – but I like the plastic better.
Marissa
Plastic looks smoother – no crinkles or lines.

I love the plastic. The gumballs are so pretty – it’s nice to be able to see them.
jen
I think the plastic is just that hair bit cuter. great idea with the tail!
kimberly
Plastic, definitely!
Julie
Plastic!!
gimmy (remember me?)
Plastic!
Rayshell
Plastic..for sure!
Norma
Ooo! I like the paper! Very cute either way though :)
Brittany
I like them both a lot, but you don’t realize how great the gum balls are in the paper bags.
Jessie
I like the plastic one the best. It’s more inviting because you get to see the pink yumminess that’s on the inside. Both are more creative than I could ever create, though.
josephine
Gimmy! Where are you? Where’s gimcracker? I miss you!
Looks like plastic is winning but let me just add that the paper looks particularly wrinkly mostly because it was mangled by Destructo Baby.
elisabeth
PLASTIC. You can’t compete with fabulous gumballs on display!!!
stillheidi
My vote is for plastic….and for the cat not to be cut out!
Amanda
I’m with plastic. They’re both sweet though, but it’s nice to see the goods.
Tamara
Hi, I like the plastic best. Looks like a nice plumb kitty. Tamara

I’m delurking for this important decision…
I prefer the paper…has a “whoohooo – goody bag!” feel towards it..
Lyndsay
plastic, yo!
Jo
Oh this is so unrelated, but I finally know Baby Bug’s name! Beautiful name for a very pretty baby. :)
And plastic, so we can see the lovely pink balls!
Donna
My vote is definitley for plastic! It’s nice to see the pretty gumballs inside!

What do I think?
I think that no matter how hard I try, I’ll never be able to throw a party as well as you do. Of course, that’s ok because you’re inspiring me to do more than I would have ever thought to do on my own.
I think I like the clear bags better. They’re so cute either way though!
my 2 cents
I like the plastic. Seeing the pink gumballs just adds something to it. Both are very cute though!!
Tina
Another vote for plastic (the pink gumballs are too cute to hide) and the uncut out ears. VERY cute either way though.
Kim
Plastic by far! Question.. do you have a take away for the smaller guests too?
josephine
No, I don’t. But that is a question that has been bothering me. I need a pink kitty teething toy or something. Do I dare try to sew pink lumpy cats? Yikes!
MamaBear
definitely plastic.
whoorl
PLASTIC!!
Dana
Definitely the plastic with the ears cut out – so cute!
Colleen in Toronto
Definitely the plastic! Helena is lucky to have such an awesome mom :o)
Wendy
I vote for plastic! Those pretty pink gumballs are a must see:)
margalit
How about a compromise? Is the plastic cellophane? You can buy cellophane bags that are shaped like the paper bag (and they will stand up on their own on a flat bottom) but are clear like the plastic. You can buy them in candy stores. But I love the look of the gumballs so I’d go with anything clear.
Felix
I like the paper – the color matches the kitty more. But the plasic is cool cause you can see what’s inside.
I’m up to my eyeballs in rubber ducky everything right now – including goodie bags (I’ll be sure to bring one for Helena)
Jessica
I agree with Toby! Using both you could punch polka dot holes in the paper and then you could see the pink gumballs through it, inside the plastic.. just a thought.
i delurked…
Gramma
I like the see-through plastic. That way the kitty cookie will show.
Teresa
Plastic is my vote too!
Ninotchka
Oh! I love them both. I agree with Toby. Go for it. She’s only ONE, well, ONCE! :)
Elle
Plastic! It is such a cute idea.
Kuky
I like the plastic.
Gypsy
I love the plastic — it’s adorable! And I vote to cut out the ears!
Shelley
To put off my house cleaning for just a few more minutes, plastic, please.
So freakin’ cute.
kristin
plastic! but i like the thank you note from the paper version, so be sure to include that somehow! too fun!!!
Leah
I like the plastic, and I also give a big thumbs-up to gluing on a tail!
Angella
I like the plastic. It’s fun!
diane
I like the paper…more of a surprise…but adorable either way!
Emily
At first glance I thought plastic for sure! But after looking at the back shot, with the thank you note, I have to go for paper. They are both adorable, I am in awe of your craftyness!
jennie
I like the plastic so you can see the deliciousness of the pink gumballs. I’m a fan of instant gratification, so I like not having to open the bag to know what’s inside. It’s obviously going to be adorable no matter what you decide to do.
Abbey
I’d say paper…it gives more of a “whole” cat feel instead of a floating pink cat head with bubble gum lurking below. : ) Plus the tail would be CUTE on it!
Have fun with the party…wait…I think that might already be happening. : )
MamaBear
For the little ones that can’t have gumballs, how about lovely pink crackers?
I just found a recipe. I’m also doing stuff like this for Kikki in Feb, but it’s going to be pink & brown polka dots theme.

Definitely plastic! I love seeing the balls! LOL
aunt kathy
I would only be redundant, but I say plastic, definitely. For babies” treats are there pink teething cookies around?
