Bumbo time! I’m tellin’ ya – it’s perfect for cooking and doing dishes and such. Just put it on the counter right next to where you’re working so she can watch and then you have your hands free. It works great with Baby Felix.

I’ll second the bumbo, or the exersaucer, or the jumper, or whatever she will sit in for a few minutes. I’ve even cooked dinner with one of the kids in a backpack.

    It’ll pass. Pinky promise;)

That’s me! for the past 5 and a half months, I’ve been doing that same thing since her birth (always keeping right hand free to work with) and now I have tendonitis in my wrist!! I love your illustrations!

I’ve SO been there! My monkey finally warmed up to her bouncy seat, swing and high chair at just around 3 months. I thought I was going to lose my marbles prior. Do you have any of these contraptions to try? I also have the Bumbo but don’t get as much time with it. Her neck needs just a little more strength to be comfy.

I don’t know what a bumbo is but maybe I need one. The thing I bought recently that is totally saving me is a hip rider. I still have to do everything one handed b/c he isn’t strapped into it (he hates being strapped it) but at least it gives my back some relief. I totally relate to that picture. Make it a fat lady with a blue baby and it’s me and MisterE.

I love this funny drawing! How do you make these? I like that one eye is poping out from the insanity. Hahahah. Your so cool to be drawing your new parenting experiences.

We’ve been going through a stage (please got let this be a stage) where the boy wants to be held all the time. He might be ok in some contraption but the moments he sees me that’s it.

I love your illustration today!! I feel like I am having one of those days, except my guy is 42lbs and wants me to carry him around! Silly kid, that’s what videos are for ;)

I second jenn’s comment. I feel the same way and I don’t have kids. I should clarify that I don’t juggle knives and strangers babies, just feeling frazzled with my life :)
