you are here at the perfect time too! lucky you, this is the TIME to be here. its beautiful. this weather is also good for the zoo…and the monuments down on the Mall, too. The top of the Lincoln Memorial has the best photo ops in DC and the Wall is incredible at there’s a fountain at WWII.

I love seeing your photos of the East Coast. You bring just as much sunshine to them as you do to your beach photos. Although it looks like it was a tad bit warmer than here, you are pretty much looking at the same type of vegetation and weather, we just get hit a little harder in Winter (except this past one where DC got our Winter instead of us) and our Spring is a little delayed in comparison.

I am glad you are having such a blast while you are out here, I imagine Toby missed his girls terribly and will be happy to have you home.

Love DC and all there is to see and do there, glad you are having fun. Also, when we lived in WA there were lots of “Kidz Bounce” places. Large wharehouses filled with big bounce houses. You pay a small fee for your kids (all adults are free, as are kids under 2) and you go in and play in all the bounce houses for as long as you want. It was wonderful for the kids in the winter. And I had fun bouncing around too. You’ll have to look them up and see if they have some near you in CA. You could rent the place for birthday parties or mommy groups or whatever–but, of course, that got a little spendy.
