sketchery
February 12th, 2010So this is old news now but I like this page because it’s colorful (though my scanner sucketh and the color is not quite accurate) and my mad face while I’m waiting for the slow internet is funny. My laptop is s-l-o-w-l-y dying but Toby and I are waiting for Apple to release a new laptop and they are just not releasing anything except the stupid ipad. Grrrrrr….
And I couldn’t not include this one because it’s like a foreshadowing of things to come with the lemonade and the sugar freakiness!
I could totally skip this one. First there’s all that blank space at the bottom left where I hid private stuff that you can’t see. (Gasp! I know! I actually have secrets. Don’t worry, I’m not pregnant. Le sigh.) But I had to include it because of the hair bit. That pretty much sums up every day lately between Bug and I and her hair. I threaten to cut it all off but her Daddy likes it long so we battle it out. Which is pretty much how I remember my youth going too. I had long hair and I was always in trouble for it falling my face or something or other…
Finally! Something newsworthy and relevant! Lemon Week! Launching tonight or tomorrow or whenever I get another free moment.

Looking forward to Lemon week! Lovin’ the illos – keep ‘em coming! (even if you have to cover up parts for privacy) ;)

If it doesn’t bother Bug that her hair is in her face while she’s playing, I say why fight her on it? It’s like clothes, let her wear the turquoise pants with a purple shirt and tap shoes now, while she’s little and people will think it’s cute. Save the hair fights for times it really needs to be neat, like in photos or for church/meeting or special occasions.
You have secrets!? Whaaaaat!!?? ;-)

Every time I see someone doing something like this I am incredibly jealous at the mad creative skills you have to do such gorgeous illustrations – I would love to be able to do them, they are so cool!

Love the illos. And Gasp! A secret, you?? Secret-Agent-Josephine ;).
The lemony goodness should be fun. Didn’t Apple just release new laptops last year? I think Bethany has the new one. That means they should be skipping this year, but again you never know with Apple.
Hope you are making out well with the Actually’s on their way. Just remember it’s only a plane ride away.

I love how your drew Bug’s stance and expression while she’s getting her hair brushed. Like Isabelle. :-D

I love your drawing. I wish I could draw like that! If I ever write a children’s book, YOU are going to illustrate it.
