When my husband is doing large cardboard crafts (like the car he made our son and the cardboard city fundraiser for the homeless) he uses Gorilla glue. I like Aleen's Tacky Glue for smaller stuff.

Those trees are so cute! Maybe I'll remember them for next year.

OOH...If I had been there with you I am sure that Bethany would have had some very handsome silver patio furniture! I love spray paint. My glue suggestion when working with kids is Aleen's Tacky Glue. ( http://www.save-on-crafts.com/alortacglu.html ) I have used it so many times over the years in scouts and Children's Ministry. The trick is to squeeze some out into a small paper cup and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. The paper cup wicks some of the water out and it starts to get even tackier-then use toothpicks to dab it. Also try to convince the kids that less is more because it dries faster that way.

My mom, the goddess of all things stuck together, swears by E5000 glue.
I've used it.
It works.
Once it is used - nothing is moving. :)

I think I'd get a kick out of spray painting silver too!

Lovely! I particularity like the first picture when you look a little thug-ish in the woods with your box cutter. I enjoy your site so much. I have been reading for a few years now, and have even read all your archives! You are talented and funny, and insightful. Have a wonderful Christmas!

two word....glue dots.

Ask your brother-in-law sometime. He is an expert on glue. He uses some amazing adhesives in his manufacturing job.
