just another day
December 1st, 2009I really should be doing other things than posting these diary illos but they are so fun and easy! I realize this one is not really making sense with the Mr. Fox bit off to the side so let me explain the timeline:
1. we went to the beach. it was windy so we left
2. we took so long to get home that we missed Planet 51
3. we went and saw Fantastic Mr. Fox instead
4. then I was late to start cooking dinner
Just another typical day in the life…

Add me to the list of readers who LOVE these illo-blogs you’re doing! They’re so fantastic! I totally understood the timeline, even without your explanation. Not confusing at all (to me, anyway)!

I keep kicking around the idea of doing a daily drawing again. It’s been over a year since I did mine. And I keep talking myself out of it. But seeing yours makes me want to again.
Maybe I’ll just do quick ones not on the computer. How big is our moleskine? Maybe if I just do something small…

You have a lot of Katie/Kate fans! Well, add me to the list. Love the illos! It doesn’t hurt that you are such a good scribbler, my drawings would look more like Shel Silverstein drawings… but bad. haha

I loved FMF too – I remembered a lot of the story from when I was young, which is pretty rare for me as I usually can’t remember what I had for breakfast.

I’ve seen both movies. You picked the winner. Planet 51 was okay, but Fantastic Mr. Fox was much more worth the time & money. Even Annalie thought so! When we left P51 I asked her what she thought, and she said, “I liked it!” enthusiastically enough, but then she never mentioned it again. When we left FMF she was chattering on and on about how funny it was, she talked about different scenes and characters in the car on the way home, and the next day out of the blue she said, “You know, I’d like to get Gramaw the DVD of Fantastic Mr. Fox for Christmas, but it won’t be out yet, so I guess we’ll wait for her birthday.”

For a no brainer supper…before you go to the beach…throw some frozen pork chops in the bottome of your crock pot. Put half a can of crushed pineapple on the top…squirt in some soy sauce. Set on high for four hours. Serve with rice.

I love the daily drawings. They are so detailed and just fun to stare at all the detail and notes. These make me wish I could draw, even just a tiny bit. Talented woman!
