Lavender Sachets!
April 30th, 2009Bug and I made some really pretty lavender sachets for our Alpha+Mom mother’s day craft. They smell so good!
I’ve got some other paper versions in my head too, so stay tuned!

SUCH GREAT IDEA! This is something that I’m willing to do for the grandmas this year.

I just learned to sew about a year ago, and I just sewed some lavender cachets this winter. Now that I’ve planted lavender, I need cooler ideas! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

What a fabulous gift idea! I remember when I was little always putting sachets in my drawers to make my clothes smell nice–perhaps I’ll have to bring them back for Mother’s Day!

My grandma had lavender sachets in her drawers. The smell always take me back. :) Thanks for the reminder!

Lavender is one of my favorite herbs, and the only perennial I’ve managed to keep alive – for over 10 years. High on my list this summer is visiting a nearby lavender farm I just learned about… your sachets look like they smell yummy!

Lovely idea! IF YOU DO like to sew (and don’t have hands of steel like Brenda) you can sew an initial tight stitch around the hand and still do the neat little hand stitching over the top of it.
I really like this idea a lot. Hmmmm….

Totally unrelated to the post. One of my all time favorite books as a young child was The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo and although the color is a bit off – your header reminds me of it. :)
