A Coloring Contest!
April 18th, 2009Remember Gumball’s froggy friend that I made for Bug’s Great Big Green Puppet Show Birthday Party? That was ages ago, I know. My mom reminds me regularly. “When are you going to create another friend for Gumball?” she asks as if it’s my job to create random characters now and then. Heh. Maybe it is. Anyway I think it’s time for a coloring contest and why not incorporate our new friend Fribbit?!
That’s his name by the way. Back when you guys commented all your ideas for names, I read them off to Bug and that’s the one she picked. So thank you Deeleea! If I think up a prize, I will send you one! Right now I’m starting a contest fresh out of prizes but have no fear, there will be prizes! Buckets of them! Ha ha!
Here’s how it will work:
- Download your coloring page here.
- Color it up all spiffy. Markers, crayons I don’t care.
- Take a photo. (Cute pictures with yourself and/or your kid will probably give you a winning edge but are not required.)
- Upload your photo to SAJ’s Undercover Crafts pool. Please note your age or your child’s age somewhere on your photo or coloring sheet so I know what level of prize you are eligible for.
- Wait patiently until April 27th.
The contest it is open to all ages. There will be a prize for children 0-6 and another prize for children 7-13. Anybody older than 13 will have to settle with just knowing that they are awesome and they don’t need a prize. On April 27th I will pick a winner based on originality, skill and whatever else I feel like. The winners will win a bucket of art supplies! Unfortunately there will only be two winners chosen because I am not made of money.
Have fun!
*Family members of SAJ can enter but you are pretty much guaranteed not to win. Sorry dudes.

*Grin* I wish I could take the credit.. but it has to go to my 5 year old nephew who’s loved his Fribbet since he was a baby… (which actually has more to do with the silky tag than the frog)!

Thanks for this! I downloaded your B&W sheet of Valentine cards, and my daughter worked on it for WEEKS! She loves your drawings, so she will adore doing this!

Sounds like fun! I’ll print it out and get my kids to color it. :)

I downloaded and plan to print a few out for my son when he gets a little older. I’m one of those crazy moms that will put things away for when their child gets older even if it is just a coloring page. And an awesome coloring page at that :)

I am totally printing this out and coloring it while I’m bored at work today.

Can y ou do another coloring contest again sometime? Your blog is one of the only ones I still try and make time to visit since having a 2nd baby.. so I JUST now today saw this post. My son is quite the artist which shocks me since i can’t even draw a stick person.. and I know he’d have loved to participate! You could even make the prizes some award we print off or something, he wouldn’t care!
