Daily Grommet: Valentine’s Special
February 11th, 2009Around here a “grommet” is a little surfer guy. In other parts of the world it’s a nut or a bolt or something. And most recently, if you are in the know, it’s a website where they feature new and interesting products, called Daily Grommet. Too bad they aren’t featuring little surfer guys daily.
In order to get the word out about their new and exciting website, the folks at Daily Grommet are recruiting bloggers like me to hype it up a little. What better way to hype something than to give away FREE stuff!!! Because that’s all you really care about. I know. I’ve been watching my stats. You’re all a bunch of free-mongers.
Just kidding. But free stuff is fun, I agree.
So here’s what you have to do to win something:
Check out these videos featuring the giveaway products on Daily Grommet:
Valentine’s Day Craft supplies! Sign me up for this one.
Then come back and post a comment—what do you like about these products or the Daily Grommet website?
One winner will be selected between now and Saturday for each product. I’m not making any promises on when the winner will be announced because I will be traveling and wifi access may be spotty but somebody will definitely win! So have fun!
Edited to add: As of 6:50pm PST comments are closed. A winner will be selected soon!

I was wondering about the title to the illustration, and now I know.

I think the chalk-a-doodle place mats are pretty spiffy :)
I like the idea of the website. lt’s nice to have one place to look for all the new and exciting things the internet has to offer.

When I first went to their site, I did so jaded. “Another shopping site”. Not so. Love it! Love the layout, the videos, the variety of the products they’re showing. I even bookmarked a couple items and signed up for their email list. Great concept!

I liked the videos. Normally I don’t like videos for stuff like this, but these are short and informative.

i like the idea of the site — its a bit like boutique shopping without having to put up with boutique personnel…

I loved the “upscale-ness” (is that a word) of the V-day card kit. Classy but very kid-friendly.
Makes me want to se what else she has.

I like the way they present the videos–they’re helpful but not overbearing.

I love the videos that Daily Grommet uses to “demonstrate’ the what they are selling. This could be very helpful (or just fun), depending on the product.

I went to check out the site and was surprised to see Grandma’s Chicken Soup featured! I know that Grandma and have worked with her at catering jobs for her son’s catering business. My sister-in-law ran the administrative site of the chicken soup business for a couple of years!
I would love the chocolate sauce, though, since I can easily get my hands on the chicken soup. Yum!

I love chocolate… need I say more? ( Their site is pretty cool though)

I liked the concept behind this website by having good focus on only one thing a day. It introduced me to a lot of different stuff that’s out on the web that might not normally find thru search sites.
I liked the TikaTok site! my nieces would love that. MixMyGranola was kinda cool too!

Gromit is also Wallace’s dog :) If Bug has not seen Wallace & Gromit or if you haven’t seen it either, definitely watch it. I’m 24 and still love me some W&G, hehe http://www.wallaceandgromit.com/

I just got to your site today while blog-hopping and I hope to visit more often! Lucky me it was during a giveway! I like all the deteils in the Valentine kit – and the video really helped ’sell’ the product.

I like the design of this site. The products are unique, I’ve never seen many of them. I also like the crafts – may even buy some! Overall it’s very cute and classy.
Plus, chocolate! Who wouldn’t like that?

I’ve bookmarked it!

I just LOVE the fact that the chocolate sauces are hand-made here in the USA from fresh, pure ingredients. I also prefer supporting “the little guy” rather than big companies.
Smiles!

Very cool site. I love the Valentine’s kit and the videos are such a different way of getting out information on products. Every other site offers just reading but this one gives you a little more interaction, or at least it feels like interaction when you watch somebody else.
Great site, thanks for the introduction. And Love Surfer Dude, he would look good amongst my beach stuff in the house.
February 12th, 2009 at 8:38 pm
The fact that they have the videos so you can get all up close and personal with the products is pretty darn cool.
February 13th, 2009 at 9:25 am

I’ve seen the Daily Grommet website several times and I LOVE those sites that have one “deal” a day. so tempting!!
Rum caramel chocolate?? *swoon* That would be heavenly! And my little girl would LOVE to craft up some heart-filled creation long after Valentine’s Day!
