Onesies and calendars and movies, oh my!
November 13th, 2008Today is your lucky day! I have stuff to give away! First up is an adorable onesie from the very kind folks at Miminko Apparel. They bought an ad on my site and then sent this super-cute chocolate-brown onesie to me to give away to one of my readers. Smart marketers, those Miminko people.
It’s made with 100% certified-organic cotton and it has alpacas on it! Do you know what an alpaca is? I didn’t. It’s sort of like a llama but not. The onesie is size 12-18 months which is NOT Bug’s size or else I might have been tempted to keep it. I am tempted to keep the box though and be cheap and mail out the onesie in a soft envelope. The box is so cool. You should enter to win this contest for the box alone. I’m all about packaging.
So if you’d like to win this onesie just leave me a comment saying so and I will fairly pick somebody as a winner and then send it out to you. (I’ll probably call on my good friend Bethany to pick the winner because she’s very fair and orderly about such things, unlike me. I would probably pick whoever left the funniest comment. That isn’t very fair because I know it’s nearly impossible to be funny under pressure.
CONTEST ENDS SATURDAY AT 7AM.
Next up: Calendars! Download your FREE November pdf here and your FREE December pdf here. I might make a better December calendar later. I’ve been recycling my banner art to make the calendars and I haven’t made my December banner yet so I just threw something else on there. I wasn’t going to put up a December calendar but I figure the holidays are so crazy you’re probably going to need December already. I know I do. Those little boxes are filling up fast.
Regarding those little boxes. I know they are not super big. I wish they were bigger but I can’t fit them and my illos on there if I make them any bigger. So we compromise. I recommend getting a super super fine pen. This one is my favorite. Make sure you get the .28. It’s super super fine and most excellent in quality.
There you go! Happy Free Stuff Day!

Oh! I almost forgot. I also have a new movie for the Bug fans. There’s a joke at the end that I think is hilarious. But you’ll have to click through to vimeo to get my explanation.

First! First! Hi, Bug and Brenda! What a cute little onesie! Perfect for my grandchild! Crossing fingers and toes!
November 13th, 2008 at 4:05 pm
what? only one other comment? that onesie is cute! my wedding dress was chocolate brown! i would send the cute chocolate brown onesie to my cousin who had a baby a few days ago. she’s in switzerland and i am a bit sad that i can’t visit…
November 13th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
12-18 months is not Sam’s size either so WHY DO I WANT IT SO MUCH?
November 13th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Alpaca me! Err, I mean, pick me! Pick me! we actually have alpaca’s in the zoo down the street.
My girlie would love a chocolate onesie. She’s probably think it really WAS chocolate and try to eat it. But that’s ok too. Love it, love it.
November 13th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
I’m having a new granddaughter in January, and would LOVE to win this for her. It is ADORABLE!
November 13th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Oh my, that onesie is adorable and just Miss Leyba’s size! Keeping my fingers crossed!
LOVE the calenders! I am SO excited! Let’s all pretend to spend December in France, shall we?!
xoxo
November 13th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
I’m going to vote that you decide totally UNfairly to send the onesie for my new baby Cora. While she may only be 6 weeks old, she’s already in 3-6 month size, thanks to her hearty appetite for booby-milk and her bulky cloth diapers. At this rate, she’ll be in that size by, oh, January :-)
In case you need convincing on the cuteness, here is a pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50707216@N00/2992634625/in/set-72157607706008926/
And… if you choose me, you can keep the box. How’s that for a deal?
Off to watch the Bug video!
November 13th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
789, we love this joke and just revisited it here too. i sadly have no one who can gift the (or keep for myself) 12-18mo onsie. (who am i kidding my petite 22mo would so still fit in it…but you can pick another winner i just wanted to comment on Bug. first time i heard her. :))
November 13th, 2008 at 5:00 pm
Seven ate nine…..hahahahahahaha.
Don’t enter me in the contest. My kids wear adult size small. We’ve even passed the kids size 12’s.
Off to cross country practice.
When I get home I’ll put sizes on all the hats.
November 13th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
oh, I get it, 7 8 9!!! LOL
November 13th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
I realize many people want to win this for their daughters, granddaughters, etc. but I think my baby boy would be SO CUTE in the alpaca brown onesie. I probably won’t get chosen though because I want the box more than the onesie too… ever been to the Container Store? Yes, yes. I love boxes.
November 13th, 2008 at 5:23 pm

I would love to win this! I know what alpacas are. We have someone in our town with them. They are supposed to be friendlier than llamas. Thanks for the chance!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
I’m a sucker for great packaging. Those darn marketers get me every time! My baby girl does look awfully cute in brown! Oh, and thanks for the calendars. They’re great!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
I had to comment, but don’t enter me in the contest. I don’t have or know any babies right now! I wanted to say thank you for the recommendation of the super fine pens. My 12 y.o. daughter is a budding artist and these look like a great Christmas present! And, the calendar PDF’s are so cute!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
That onsie is absolutely adorable! We would love to enter a chance to win that for the little Rosebud who’s due to arrive far too late in January if you ask me…
As for Baby bug cute as always, my Bethany is a big “fan” of both her and Annalie – a day is not complete until she has seen a video of either one or both of them. Who knew that they’d be famous already!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Her fake laugh is awesome! Thanks for the calendars; they’re really fun!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:44 pm
Video so cute brain just melted!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:44 pm

November 13th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
That is a super cute onesie. I”m having a little girl in January and can always use more onesies.
I love the calendars too.
November 13th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
Alpaca’s aren’t the ones that spit at you are they?, because if they are Lucy Lu, my little one, should have that onesie as she spits at everyone!!!! Projectile. Maybe I just deserve it for all the spit I clean up, but then I think it might be Llamas that spit. Oh, well. Cute onesie, though!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
Awwww I love the onesie!! Pick me Bethany!! Pick me Pick me!! Hehehehe I love Alpaca’s! And my friends would love it for her little girl!!
November 13th, 2008 at 6:58 pm

November 13th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
Oh I love the Onsie, and it is Apple’s size :). I would even compromise and let you keep the box ;).
Love your calendar, you ROCK.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
Oooo…that shirt is adorable. And would look even cuter on my 12-18 month old!
November 13th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
Baby B says alpacas are his favorite animal, and that he might be an alpaca for Halloween next year because he loves alpacas so much. Alpaca will probably be his first word he loves saying it so much. Oh, wait, that’s his mommy. Alpaca, alpaca, alpaca!!! Sign us up for the chance to win – despite the heart, I find it to be a very gender neutral item :)
November 13th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
I need that onesie! Ok, really it’s my honorary nephew who needs it … I just need to give it to him!
November 13th, 2008 at 7:34 pm

November 13th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
ooh ohhh oohhh! I once was in a shop selling Alpaca fur rugs. They said it didnt hurt the Alpacas to farm their hair, and I chose to believe them. Although, I couldnt afford any Alpaca rugs anyway.
Please enter me! I have a large 7 month old that would fill that 12-18 month onesie!
November 13th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
oh! my new nephew would look so great in that onesie. he kind of looks like an alpaca.
November 13th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
Emma is 13 months now… and she’s still wearing 9-12 mo stuff, so she’d be a good candidate. There’d even be room to grow!
November 13th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
My roommate and I have decided that Baby Bug is the cutest child on the planet.
789!
November 13th, 2008 at 10:12 pm

(I would even let you keep the box :)
November 14th, 2008 at 1:05 am
Mmm well I’ve just had a brand new baby nephew in New York… but I had the best news last night, my friend who I have known since art college, (who’s girl band I used to avidly support… even in the days they couldn’t play their instraments) who for the past seven has really wanted a baby more than anything, gave me the glad news that finally she’s going to get her wish.
I don’t mind so much if I don’t get the onsie, although it is lovely, I just wanted to share good news :)
November 14th, 2008 at 4:04 am
Hi SAJ, I have twin 8 month old girls who would love to go halvies in a cute little onsie. The good news is that our house is choc-full of baby stuff so I have no room for boxes and you would get to keep the box for sure. Also my poor baby girls only have hand-me-down clothes so far. Its very very desperately sad honest. And they would cry for days if they missed their one opertunity to own something new.
November 14th, 2008 at 4:25 am
I once dated a man whose family raised alpacas for their fur (wool?). It’s warm like sheep’s wool, but not itchy. And I guess a pregnant female alpaca could pay for a kid’s college education (well, if your kid goes to a state school). But anyway, because of all of this, I’ve met a real, live alpaca! They spit. Kind of like babies, I guess.
November 14th, 2008 at 4:29 am
Love the onesie and the calendar downloads! You’re awesome! My little nephew would be even more adorable in that onesie too!
November 14th, 2008 at 5:04 am
I meant to leave a comment the other day with your calendar post. I LOVE your calendars. Such a cute idea. I can’t wait to download these two months!
Also, that onesie is the cat’s pajamas. Go Mimeko for giving a freebie. I’m expecting a new little person this year and that would be so cute.
November 14th, 2008 at 5:29 am
I would so very much love the onesie. My SIL is pregnant with her first, and I know she’d love the llamas. I’m going over to the Mimeko site now to shop!
Thanks!
November 14th, 2008 at 5:57 am
Yes please – I am expecting my second in february and this would be perfect so he doesn’t have to wear all hand-me-downs.
November 14th, 2008 at 6:30 am
Send it to me and you can keep the cool box! It will fit my little one now:)
November 14th, 2008 at 6:33 am
Oh that’s so cute!! My parents had an alpaca for a short time, I think when I was in college. Did you know they have really awful underbites so some people file their teeth. Our alpaca- he just looked like an upside-down bugs bunny.
Anyhow, I’d love to win. It might fit Audrey, it would fit baby #2 if we ever get that to happen or I could give it away. So many choices!
November 14th, 2008 at 6:34 am
Is it bad to tell you that I am addicted to Uni-ball Signo pens? Too bad you are not giving them away! But I do love the tee shirt. My cousin is having a boy soon and this would be a great shower gift. They did not have such cool things when I had my boy 14 years ago.
November 14th, 2008 at 6:46 am
It’d be cool to win the onesie, it would be great for my boy, he can grow into it! and if I do, you can keep the box since you like it :) Cos shipping it to Singapore would be killer.
November 14th, 2008 at 7:06 am
oooh, ooo… I love alpachas. In fact, 2-neighbors down from my parents, there is an alpacha farm.
This will fit my lil’ one this spring!

The calendars are adorable! I can’t wait to print one out for my desk. Much better than the calendar my office gives us…B-O-R-I-N-G!
Love the onesie…I have a new adopted niece arriving from China this Saturday and she will be the perfect size for the onesie come December. Its their first baby in 5 years! Their first baby was born 8 weeks early because she had cancer. They decided to adopt after that…its so neat! And yes TMI. =)
November 14th, 2008 at 9:48 am
The calendars are so cute! And that onesie is too, it would be a perfect present for one of my many friends who are pregnant right now!
November 14th, 2008 at 9:50 am
I don’t currently have a child who will fit that onesie…but hope to in say…9 – 12 months! And, you can keep the box.
Thanks for the great give-away and calendar, too.
November 14th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Have you not seen The Emporer’s New Groove? BB would love it :)
I am past the onesie stage (as you well know), but LOVE the calendar. You truly are the best.
November 14th, 2008 at 10:17 am
Wow! I can’t believe all the responses for the onesie give away!
Although I’m not sure which is a bigger hit – the onesie or the box!
I should mention that the boxes will be FREE from Thanksgiving to the end of December (of course you’d have to buy something to put in the box… ;)
Thank you Secret Agent Josephine for promoting us!

Well I just had my Third baby it’s a boy, so I could use some onesies.
November 14th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Baby #2 isn’t due until May but I’d it would be nice to have for next year.
November 14th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Why? Because 7,8,9? Hahaha
I may have to use that on my husband the next time he asks ‘why’…it’ll perplex him long enough for me to think of a reason at least.
November 14th, 2008 at 2:23 pm
Oh, and the alpaca onesie! My Goddaughter would look beautiful in it!
November 14th, 2008 at 2:27 pm

November 14th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
Chocolately baby clothing, wheeeee!!! :) Please do not enter me in the contest. As much as I find that onesie completely adorable I am done diddy done done with the baby makin’
