Heh – Sharon – I don’t have plants either!!

Camelly Chocolate (or Chocolatey Camel?) – you have SO MUCH TIME. At least I, as a complete stranger, who doesn’t know anything about you – thinks that you do. Your boyfriend can father a child indefinitely, and you should spend as many years doing exactly what you want to do before committing to children. Ride that camel :-)

(I will say, however – I really feel it in the knees and ankles, much more as an older parent than if I were a spring chicken!)

I was one of those “no child” people, too. For a while. I wouldn’t go back for the world.
I still don’t have plants, though.

That was really touching. And like you and your husband, my boyfriend and I are on the don’t-want-kids train (more for the fact that I’m a travel writer by profession, and a kid wouldn’t easily factor into the mix, and I’m not planning on giving up my career anytime in the next decade!). But I’m just 25 (though he’s 34), so maybe I’ll wake up one day at 36 and decide “it’s time!”
