Short Tales from the Sticks
April 19th, 2008Baby Bug has discovered my old piano that lives at my mom’s house. It’s quite out of tune and the low “A” string is broken. I’ve always found it annoying when you’re playing along, you hit that key and all you get is a quiet thud. We never really had the money to get it fixed so we learned to play around it.
Baby Bug on the other hand is fascinated by the broken “A” key. She pulled her Auntie CC over and carefully plunks every key until she finds it.
“See,” she says to CC. “It needs a battery.”

The cuteness! It’s killing me!
Sounds like something that could be added to the list of “remember when…” on my latest post!

You had Gramma laughing out loud this morning…sounds like she is becoming a real solution-driven child. And hopelessly spontaneous, uninhibited, and right-brained— like her mom.

In the early 60’s it was the first thing Santa Claus put into the sack over his shoulder…what good is a toy if it won’t work?

That is so cute! I could really use your opinion about Blog Her. Is it worth the effort for a small time blogger like me? Do you like it?
I posted this question here .

Very Cute! This is the generation of batteries big and small and immediate gratification. I am not willing to cut my girls off but I am wondering how to balance…maybe I need to break a key or two on our piano. Oooooh……an idea!
