I remember those days well, only for me I found The Boy on top of the piano.
Loving that branch and birds nest canvas though and your Ikea shelves were worth the effort they look great.
Been there, done that and glad to be a grandma now so I can hand the kids back on no nap day. Although, when my granddaughter was Baby Bugs age, no nap day is the very day they would get me to watch her! Good luck!
Oh great… I just opened this page in front of my 3 year old and she’s so pleased to see a compadre standing on top of a shelving unit. I’m afraid this will only further her resolve to keep on climbing. CUTE ROOM.
LOL! Look at her go. My mom reminisces about when she found me on top of our upright piano, screaming for help getting down. And may I say … cute nursery!
Ha, ha, Nicole and I both just did ‘one of those days’ posts too, must be in the air.
Kaitlyn skipped her nap yesterday too and then was up fron 2-5 am. ugh!
BB’s room is cute….she is one crazy little monkey girl!
A friend of mine was once on the phone with his brother, chatting away, when suddenly the brother yelled out to his two-year-old: “Get down off of that refrigerator! Ah, I gotta go.”
My then-childless friend laughed like crazy. Little did he know he’d be saying similar things to his own son a couple of years later.
I also love the canvas bird nest painting! Did you do it? You should have those in your etsy shop! Also love the little kitchen — I haven’t seen that one before.
My daughter is 17.5mo and just figuring out how to climb. Sometimes it seems like I’m peering into my future, reading your blog. I think I should sell our chairs, lol.
I used to hate when we didn’t get naps. Now it doesn’t quit upset me as much because I think maybe she will just go to bed easier, which usually doesn’t happen.
oh no … those days can be exhausting for mom! the only good thing is she should crash out a little bit early so you can get the stuff done that you were supposed to get done earlier in the day. (love the new banner, BTW!)
I love the way your Ikea shelf turned out. Some day I would love to have one like yours filled with baskets, and then one turned upright for books and out of reach toy storage. Cute photo of BB!
That bird painting is too cute…can you make some to sell in your shop? I just bought your Baby Bug cards (for myself) and I couldn’t be happier. You are very talented.
Fun days, SAJ. Maybe it’s genetic…. I’ve got pictures of PC on just about everything in our house months ago, and NOW he’s barely a year and a half! Where did you get the little kitchen? And I have to 100th the opinion of the bird painting. I think it’s adorable!

I remember those days just a little too well. Although I didn’t have to worry about J climbing things. Perhaps Apple will be a climber.

Well the books are out of her reach. She may just be telling you to bring them down closer to her level. Then, no need to climb, right?
February 1st, 2008 at 6:28 am
Oh how cute!! I don’t have kids so I get to take MY OWN naps! =)

I was also wondering if the painting was one of yours.
Lately, Jordan’s fave climbing spot is the refrigerator! And every day is a no-nap day (he’s 4)…..

Also, look at BB, the nimble monkey!
