Day Twenty-five: Finish up the Alphabet Day!
November 25th, 2007Woot! The Alphabet is done. I still have to do lowercase versions and I still need to get them printed. But at least I did what I said I would do before Christmas. Next step: making them available.
I hope to have some mini cards available in my etsy shop in the next two weeks (crossing fingers). I don’t think I’ll finish the lowercase before the end of the year but I’ll keep trying. I have a feeling this will be a project that keeps on going for years to come. I’ve already dreamed up different color themes as well as possibly an adult version. We’ll see, right? Who knows what could come of this.
And with that I give you W for whale!
X for X-ray!
And…. (drum roll) Y for Yak!
Yakity Yak!
Get your letters here while they are free! Soon they will be gone!

OH YES.
November 25th, 2007 at 10:25 pm
Thanks for all of the cards and, I think the cards for grown ups would be pretty funny!

love them, I must drag out my printer! Thank you!
Are those all Toby’s shoes? If they are he might just be the only guy I know with an actual shoe collection!

Ooh can’t wait for the mini cards. Mark me down for one. I somehow missed I and J and a and b. I’m so not on top of things sometimes, so to get it together to print them, bah! But sitting at the computer and a couple of clicks to buy my own set of alphabet cards? I can do that! :-D
November 26th, 2007 at 12:21 am
I was wondering what you were going to do for X. Perfect!
November 26th, 2007 at 12:28 am
That yak is full of character. ALL the cards are great. Thank you for sharing them with us!

You’re going to have to sell them - I missed downloading a few of them.
Plus, you have to pay for your coffee needs somehow :)

That yak couldn’t be more perfect.
November 26th, 2007 at 5:34 am

November 26th, 2007 at 6:12 am

November 26th, 2007 at 6:17 am
I thought I had them all, but when I double checked, I’m missing Q and R. When I clicked back through and I can’t seem to find. Do you think you could email me a link? Thank you, thank you!!! They’re so pretty!
November 26th, 2007 at 6:24 am
I’m sorry for everyone who missed the letters. That was part of the game. They were only free for a short window of time. I will explain why soon. A whole set will be available for download but it won’t be free, unfortunately.
I hope you are not mad! We’ll have another freebie again soon.

Adorable! I need to head over to etsy to check those out.
Love, love, love xray! We have a thing for bones/skeletons in our house. :)
SAJ says: They’re not there yet. That is my job for this week.

I love Toby’s shoe collection! I need to prove to my husband that, “Yes, it is true…men do have more than one pair of shoes!” - Case in point, the cool photographer hubby in Cali :o) The letters are adorable!!!! That Yak has moxie - look at the way her head is cocked as if to say, ” Dont hate me casue Im beautiful…”
November 26th, 2007 at 7:06 am
I love the way you illustrated the letter “W” in shoes. Brilliant!
November 26th, 2007 at 8:04 am
Thanks SAJ! I love these! Can’t wait to see the mini cards!

For your twitter sugar freak…try some slim carrot sticks to dip into ranch dressing, or some celery for dipping into peanut butter. Tastes can change, even though the yearning lurks in the background. You’ll feel so noble if you try. Just think of the dentis bills you’ll avoid.

Thank you thank you for making W a WHALE! Seriously. And I want to buy them…even if I have to do it letter by letter! (Is that how you are going to do it? If not, it’s okay - you do what you gotta do!) But see, since Thomas’ nursery (and bathroom!) is totally all about whales, I can so justify my purchase. Whales just make me HAPPY.
I love X as well! You are just so talented. What a fun project! I can’t wait to teach Thomas the alphabet using these! (And hey, maybe my preschool kids?)
November 27th, 2007 at 9:14 pm
I have a bachelorette party to host next year. I would totally buy those “adult” cards if/when they became available. You’re so incredibly talented.
November 30th, 2007 at 6:49 am
Has the letter Z been done? Or did I miss it somewhere?
Love the letters! You are very talented!
November 30th, 2007 at 6:54 am
It’s here! I did Z before W,X and Y.
November 30th, 2007 at 9:20 am
I seem to have missed the Q & R ones and can’t seem to find them on your site? Any chance you can post a link to those?
