why does my mommy do this to me?!!
June 20th, 2007I just can’t help it. Ever since my sister-in-law put in two tiny pigtails, instead of one (ridiculous looking bam-bam volcano spout on top of her head), I’ve been doing this to Baby Bug’s hair almost every other day. Its just so cute to me! Why I find the one pigtail so offensive but two pigtails incredibly adorable, I don’t know. She’s like a little bug receiving messages from outer space. Who wouldn’t want a little martian bug running around their house? Her hair cracks me up all day long.
She doesn’t seem too mind much. She holds still while I pull her hair this way and that to put the tiny “ouchless” rubber bands in. She only manages to pull them out about 20% of the time which is way better odds than the side-bang barrette style I’d been trying to get her to leave alone ever since her hair grew long enough to clip.
One of these days her hair will decide to flop over instead of stick straight up but until then we might as well cancel our cable bill because we’re getting great reception on the tv.

Aw, so so cute! My sister does my nieces hair the same way. Very fitting for a baby bug.

Hehe, my husband recently asked me if I would wear pigtails. I was like “WHA??” i think she looks great!

She looks cute, unimpressed in the photo, but cute. Problem with having a boy is there are no pigtails to do. But I have done spikes and a faux-hawk a few times….

She looks like Cindy Lou Who (who was no more than two) from the cartoon version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”

She looks so cute and funny!! I think the style’s working for her.

We always call the one-ponytail/Bam-Bam look a “hair fountain”. I think that OR the antennae are totally adorable.

I should have tried this before cutting all of Audrey’s wisps away. She is starting to get her wisp back, maybe I’ll turn my monkey into a bug soon… I love them on BB. Her expression in this pic too funny.

Okay. That’s just all sorts of cute.

Adorable….does she pick up cable channels? haha. The look on her face is worth it!

Too Cute! And what did she just eat? Her face’s expression can’t be because of her piggy tails, could it?
June 20th, 2007 at 10:06 pm
I love that expression!

Adorable!
We just did pig-tails on our little buggy (our daughter’s nickname- I giggle whenever I read babybug on your blog!) yesterday and they’re too funny. She has curly, long hair at the grand age of 17 months so it was like two little puff balls on the back of her head.
No talking to aliens for her, I suppose.

What an enigma…only my oldest daughter had the suggestion of little duck tails when she was growing up. The other four had that sad, wispy, stick straight excuse for hair. Underneath it all they had personality plus, plus so no one looked at their hair. The whole gang wore pigtails until they reached those sub-teen years. Then they were on their own.
