Mama’s Little Helper
July 7th, 2006
When I was pregnant and setting up the “baby’s room” slash “office” I thought that someday I might have trouble with the baby “interfering with my work”. I day dreamed of a wiggly little body crawling right off her changing pad and drooling on my laptop keyboard.
What I didn’t realize was that it would happen much sooner than I ever thought.

It ALL happens much sooner than you think. Just wait until she’s upright. By the way, you have a great little helper there.

I think she’s trying to order something from Etsy.

Buckle your seatbelt SAJ, life as you know it has ceased to exist! The more they are mobile, the harder it is for mama. With two parents as creative as you, she will be doing freelance work in no time.
She is adorable, keep up the great work!

I love she has the pencil behind her ear, all ready to help mommy take important secret agent type notes.

Oh just wait till she starts walking and talking! My daughter was 20 before I could have anything on the coffee table because I was afraid she would put it in her mouth and choke on it. Okay, maybe not 20. Ten then!
By the way, happy belated Birthday!!!

And so it begins… My monkey has just started the grabby stage and would be eating those wet wipes. I’m not ready for mobility.

Little did you realize before Baby Bug was born that it wouldn’t be the baby “interfering with your work,” but rather, your work getting in the way of playing with the baby! :-) Priorities shift so quickly, don’t they?

Love the pencil behind the ear shot. So cute. Things do change dramatically once they are moving. And just when you get used to it … walking!
